Description

This one took me way longer than expected to finish. I shall never do scales this detailed on this small of scale (did this on printer sized paper like all my other pieces) again for a long, long time, least of my own free will. Except if it’s for a paid commissioner of course!

We have here a quite angry Silissia Sisselia about ready to cleave the viewer in twine. Empress Silissia Sicilia is the ruler of the Anthropomorphic Snakes from my fictional realm. She is ruthless, beautiful, and some may even say Insane. I’ll post a more in-depth except from ” The Histories of Aldernia” by Master Scholar Fracticious Ulnunium telling her story once I get around to writing it.

It has been long since I’ve drawn an anthropomorphic snake and this is the first time I’ve actually colored one to boot. Though it was quite difficult I am happy with it and I hope the work paid off and shows. On an artistic note I again tried to mess with dynamic posing and tried some conceptual ideas I had, like the connection of her armor to the rings attached to her body. This sort of gave the impression that she and her armor where one, embracing it, the same as she embraces war and violence in her madness. In the end this piece was something in far left field of my usual work and characters I tend to portray. Regardless of that, I hope you all still enjoy the piece none the less.

Lastly, I did manage to take a lot of scans of this piece in various stages of completion. I am going to attempt to compile them into one pic and then Upload it into my Scraps Folder. So if you’re interested in taking an in-depth look at my artistic process keep a look out for it in the next day or so!
